This is ideal for a stretch between 4 and 11 inches but all other suspension components and spring heights will need to be adjusted accordingly as you move the spring plate down the frame rail.

Questions and Answers
The Barnes 4WD Rear Spring relocation Kit can be used on either a TJ or LJ. This kit can be used to locate the upper coil spring in a vertical position or works great when stretching your wheel base. You can still use your factory or aftermarket bump stops with this kit. Welding and cutting will be needed. Like all of our products this kit is laser cut and made in the USA. Kit includes parts for both rear springs! The rear frame side factory track bar bracket will need to be modified or replaced after installation. This is a good opportunity to upgrade to part number

These relocation spring mounts work great, you can set them where ever the axle location has been stretched to as well as the lift. Springs are straight and don't bind.

Coil Spring Relocation Kit
I used the kit when I did a 7 stretch on my '02 TJ. It worked excellently!! It was extremely simple to set the location of the buckets, even for someone like me who is an amatuer fabricator. Once I had the axle in place, I just clamped the frame reinforcement plates onto the side of the frame and used them as templates while I notched the frame with my torch. Then just weld in the bottom peices (where I notched the frame), weld in the side plates, and weld on the stock coil buckets, and it was done! Worked like a charm and I highly recommend it! Oh, and it gave me about 2 lift over stock on my TJ with stock rear coils and the 7 stretch.

Q:
So since this mount can move back to accommodate a stretch what size springs would one use ? Like would i just measure the difference in height from stock location to the new and subtract that from the lift spring height and thats my new required lift spring height?

A:
Exactly while also keeping in mind the coil spring angle.

Q:
I ordered this kit over a year ago and can't find the bolts or nuts that go with the kit. I know they are 3/8 but how long do they need to be?

A:
This kit uses two 3/8"-16 1.5" bolts.
