Questions and Answers
If you are looking to add cross over steering, and high steer to your 2005-2008 Superduty Dana 60 axle this kit has all of the parts you will need. The high steer arms in this kit will also accommodate most full hydraulic and hydraulic assist steering systems as well. If setting up traditional crossover steering the drag link will be installed in the front hole on the passenger arm and the tie rod will be installed in the two rear holes. If 1-3/4 or 1-1/2 inch outer diameter tie rod is used the steering will clear a factory differential cover, and our

at full lock steering angle. 3/8 inch thick steel is used to manufacture the upper and lower plates for each arm and the inner gussets are fabricated from 1/4 inch. Included in this kit are two 1 inch diameter grade 8 bolts and 2 locking nuts, that are used to tie the high steer arm assembly into the factory tie rod end location. Installation requires drilling the original tie rod holes out to 1 inch and welding the high steer arms to the knuckles. Standard mig, stick, or tig welding procedures can be used, since the Superduty Dana 60 knuckles are cast steel instead of cast iron. Use of these arms requires 4-1/2 inches of backspacing or less on a 17 inch wheel or larger. When assembled these arms feature a 2 inch wide mounting width and 3/4 inch bolt holes, a perfect fit for our

Awesome option for 05+
Easy and simple setup. Snug huge 1" bolt and weld it up! I think they say max backspacing is 4.5-4.75? I'm running 5" backspacing 17" wheels and they clear with brackets even with spindle. Everything fit well and works as should!

Excellent
Another great Barnes part. Fitment is nearly spot on. Just have a good set of large drill bits and a hot welder on hand and you’ll have yourself one sweet set of budget friendly high steer arms!

Barnes does it again
These things are beefy. The 1inch bolt is massive and really makes for a great addition to the knuckle aside from welding. This is by far one of the cheapest options for high steer on the market right now but the quality is second to none. Another great product from Barnes

Q:
I"m putting this on a JK what do I need for steering box/arm to get full lock?
Asked by:
Derek
- 4/21/2020
A:
The easiest thing you can do is look into longer pitman arm options. If that's not enough, you can look into steering box options from comapanies like PSC.
