  • Welding the four seams and threaded insert on the face of the cover is required before welding it to the axle. 

Barnes 4WD is proud to introduce the first Toyota Diff Cover that offers complete protection for your third member, maximizes clearance and increases fluid capacity. This cover is not your typical cap that you just weld over the thin stock housing. With our cover you completely remove the factory cap (a quick job with a cut off wheel) and weld a laser cut and bent ¼" Plate Steel cover in its place. This is a little more work but the payoff is worth it for the total coverage and increased oil capacity. This is also the most economical fix for a rusted leaking Toyota rear axle.

Great part and great service...thanks, Barnes4WD!

The new differential cover is very impressive...(1/4"?) thick steel as promised and neatly finished!
The welder first welded the slits and fill port, then cut the original factory part off, re-finished the differential's surface, flushed the interior gears, welded the Barnes cover on and painted it's surface...nice job and NO leakes!
This part is a real life-saver for my 2010 Tundra! With only 120K on the odometer, it should have a lot of service left! My local Toyota dealer's fix was to replace the entire axle housing at a substantial cost!
